Ah, the British winter is here. We haven’t had any snow in sunny Sheffield yet, well not that I’ve seen, but I hear that other places have. And to think just a week ago I was sat on a beach in the sun just outside Barcelona. Bit of a shock to the system.

Anyway on with the show and today we start with James:

Another day in Products brings…

I’ve spent my whole day calling up some customers because of a couple of small issues that we’ve had with our hardware warehouse recently. I just wanted to make sure that they had all received their routers in time and the majority of them had and appreciated the call

Dave and Luke have been doing their usual reporting joyness aswell as Dave going to a few meetings, placing some trial orders and looking after our Traffic Management systems.

Ian’s been spending a lot of time catching up after his holiday and he’s managed to buy some new headphones!

Rich has spent pretty much all day in meetings and he’s been very good and hasn’t touched any of Dave’s marshmallows. Unlike yesterday.

To be honest it’s been a quiet day on the business team due to the fact that we are unable to book any appointments with BTWholesale all day!

Myself: I have been finishing writing a best practice for our buddies in Durban and also process for the Customer support centre over here.

Adam has mainly been working on provisioning orders for our business customers and also account management for one of our corporate customers.

Martin has been dealing with faults today though it’s been hard going when we are unable to book appointments!

John has been keeping on top of the tickets to ensure that we are meeting our SLAs.

I have no idea what Chris or Phil have been doing though I guess just drinking tea and looking busy.

And finally today Mand from the Comms Team:

Evening all, welcome to the world of Comms.

We’re all feeling rather happy and smiley today, which is unusual for a Wednesday. Except Bob that is who was his usual grumpy self, especially when he carelessly misplaced his iPod this afternoon.

Anyway, we’ve been working on some internal processes for the Comms team, and designating specific roles for the team going forwards.

Matt’s spent the today writing a blog, dev Change Controls, working on an email to customers with our finance team and manning the forums.

Chris has spent the day working on problems raised internally, his monthly 1-2-1 (a performance review), and marvelling the fact that the Sega Mega-Drive was released in Japan 20 years ago today.

Bob has been angry, and has also been working on some upcoming training. He also didn’t make tea, again.

I’ve been working on a couple of nasty problems, clearing out my tasks (finally) and some work on our recent Home Phone Special offer.
