lol @ the Virgin train problem... although I suppose the customer may not have been so happy about it. Did it get fixed and if so what was the cause?

Btw, one problem I had with the search tool earlier was that when I did my search (for 'downgrade'), six of the ten results had utterly useless page titles, which made finding what I wanted to find somewhat more difficult. To be precise, I had two pages entitled 'Help & Support < PlusNet | Broadband Internet Help & Advice UK', and four entitled 'PlusNet | Home & Business Broadband Internet Access & Phone Services UK'. Those latter four I could perhaps understand having unhelpful titles as they're not actually help pages, but the other two - the ones from the help & support section - really should have titles that are more helpful (as the remaining four pages did indeed have).

I think Colin has a task open at the moment to fix that particular problem.

What, the Virgin train problem? :P

When does part 2 come out? Really enjoyed Pete's take on it all.

The Virgin Train problem would be the enormous amount of electrical noise they generate. When they were being developed - and tested on Old Dalby test track http://www.old-dalby.com/Pendolino.htm - not just to test the train, but to test and develop the signalling imuunisation.

The whole of the West Coast Main Line and other lines they will use - has to have it's signalling checked to make sure the electrical noise from the train does not affect the signalling.

Unfortunately - anything else beside the railway line is not tested - as far as I know ??.

All electrical trains have similar probems - but being so powerful - the Pendolino's potential to interfere with other systems is greater.

Awesome :D Cheers for that.
