Hmm, I’d forgotten about this. Thankfully, I’d remembered to post internally, but by 5.15, I’d become distracted by something I was doing and then came home. While chatting to someone, I had a sudden realisation I’d forgotten to do something… and it turned out this was it.
Well you’re here reading this, so it’s a fair bet you’re aware of our Community site – a repository for blogs by staff members on all sorts of issues from the internets, on our own service, on new technologies and also the home to our community forums.
It’s certainly one of the most used and definitely one of the most useful resources that we have. We are, we think, justifiably proud of the way it’s grown and still growing. More…
Ah, the British winter is here. We haven’t had any snow in sunny Sheffield yet, well not that I’ve seen, but I hear that other places have. And to think just a week ago I was sat on a beach in the sun just outside Barcelona. Bit of a shock to the system.
The words that used to fill us with dread ‘e-mail upgrades!’. E-mail is the most important service that an ISP provides after connectivity so why does it get treated as a second class service? Well at Plusnet it doesn’t!
The never-ending debate about whether Facebook is good or evil grinds slowly on. Various news sites, including the Beeb, have swung the pendulum back towards social networking being ‘a good thing’ for businesses. Graham Jones gets it right again though – this isn’t anything new!
