The first sightings of the expected new-look Macbook and Macbook Pro are starting to filter out onto the Internet.
According to AppleInsider.com:
“.. the latest reports, both the new 13-inch MacBooks and 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pros will share similarities not only in their employment of aluminum enclosures, but in their overall aesthetic as well, with the new 13-inch MacBooks for the first time matching their higher-priced cousins as if they were members of the same product family.”
They stress that this news and leaked pictures should only be taken as further discussion of the ‘rumours’ that have been going around for ages. But, if a mid-October release us on the cards the timing appears right.
This will give the Macbook range a consistency it currently lacks. This may prove a smart move for Apple on the run up to Xmas.. provided their fanboys customers take to the aluminium look that is.
Industry commentators are generally agreeing that a 14th October launch seems likely for the new models to surface.
No firm news on price either, but if these rumours are confirmed then Macbooks will be on many a Santa’s list.

But where is the support for a universal dock, or something similar? I think that's the main thing missing from the MacBooks / MBPs. I know there's a few peeps at Plusnet Towers that would appreciate a dock!
I do love the look of the new design, however i still love my white macbook... think mac need to keep their white machines, they are an image not worth losing!
