I think everyone has had one of those hectic days. I’ve had 7 meetings today and Ali, one of our project managers has had 8! Where do you fit all the work in around all these meetings?
First up is Heather from the CSC
Hi guys,
Well, despite losing one of our best to Retentions this week (we’ll be taking you back Laura!) the pools are under control and looking good. Davina has remained surprisingly focused considering she’s off to Benidorm on Thursday, the lucky devil!!
Carl, Davina and myself have been placing and chasing home phone orders for our lovely customers and Matt’s been tackling the delayed orders.
Our guys in South Africa have been helping out on some of our workflow this week and things are running smoothly. Calls have been a little higher today but all the guys have been working their socks off to keep the wait times down as much as possible. Good effort CS!
We’ve managed to swipe the prize for the team furthest over target yesterday which won us some super prizes!! Let’s see if we can do it again……
TTFN !!!
Uber terse Matt from the Comms Team
James – Learning French. Not sure why. Activation report. Some forums, too.
Bob – Anger, hatred, fury and rage all in a compact parcel. Activation report and problems.
Chris – Should have exploded by now. Nobody can take that much Taurine and not become at least part bull. Activation report, tasks and forums.
Matt – Getting used to having more tea, and liking it. Activation report, forums, tasks, meetings.
Nice one. Random link? Instant Pollock!
Corr, that link is cracking! Shame about the rest of the update eh Matt?
Finally, Tommo from Products
A very productive day within the products team We are currently beta testing our TR-069 platform. For those that don’t know what TR-069 is in short, as far as our customers are concerned will allow us automagically configure new routers when the customer plugs them. There’s a whole load more that it can do, but that’s the first step and we have a bunch of our new Thomson routers online and successfully configured with the correct customer username and password without anyone having to touch the router setup page. What else have we been up to? Lots of reports and data churning, progressing our ADSL2+ trial (more details on how that’s going on in the next week or so hopefully) and further work on our hosting plans.

All done! Sorry for how brief that one was. I think it’s something in the air today!
