Hoist the Mainbrace! It's International Talk Like a Pirate Day!

September 19th, 2008 at 08:33 by Bob Pullen

Ahoy me hearties! Did ye all know that today be International Talk Like a Pirate Day?

You didn’t? Well shiver me timbers and poke me in the eye with a rusty hook ’cause you do now!

Following on from last years frivolity we’ll once again be making sure we have some good ol’ fashion pirate-related fun here at Plusnet towers.

So why not crack out the grog, dust down your horn-pipe and tell us what you’ve been doing today to celebrate this rather momentous day. Who knows, you might even get a spot in today’s End of Day.

Never considered talking like a Pirate before? Well don’t worry you scurvy dog, ’cause here’s a lesson on the five A’s from our good ol’ friends Chumbucket and Cap’n Slappy!

In fact whilst you’re at it, why not go out and get yourself a brand new pirate name?

Yo-ho-ho.

Cap’n Carl Firecrotch.
