Welcome to a special new section of the PlusNet community site, dedicated to Jane’s Appeal. Mike Tomlinson, a trustee from Jane’s Appeal is setting off this week on a heroic tour of Britain, cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End.

We’ve offered to host the websites for Jane’s Appeal including the RunForAll site. Now everyone can track Mike’s progress as he pedals across the UK, raising cash for this worthy cause. Mike and the team will be posting a daily update with pictures here, so keep visiting for updates!

Jane’s Appeal was established by the late Jane Tomlinson CBE to raise funds for children’s and cancer charities. The charities that have benefited from Jane’s support cover all areas including medical research, cancer treatment and specialist care. To date some £1.85 million has been raised and Jane’s family led by Mike Tomlinson is determined to continue the great work started by Jane and drive the amount raised above £2 Million and beyond.

PlusNet is now providing website and email hosting as well as internet support for Jane’s Appeal including the Run For All projects – the Leeds 10k, Lands End to John O’Groats cycle ride and the Tour of Britain.

Mike Tomlinson, 47, and daughter Rebecca, 20, will set off on July 11th to ride 1,400 miles from John O’Groats to Land’s End in memory of wife and mother Jane and to raise money for Jane’s Appeal.

The route followed by the Challenge will be similar to that followed by Jane in 2003, when she tandem cycled from John O’Groats to Land’s End, stopping twice for chemotherapy treatment during the ride.
