Hmm, can I remember how to do these? I’ve been off on holiday for 7 working days enjoying a nice relaxing break and have found that I’ve had to think twice before logging in to our internal systems etc. and that all the keys are in the wrong place (or at least, that’s my excuse!).
So, what has everyone else been up to:
Russ in Networks brings us this update:
Ben – $stuff= working on email issues, workplace acl’s and postini fun
Dan – Waxing his car, re-applying fake tan and doing customer tickets
Dunc – Problems
Josh – PCI cleanup, Resourcing and planning for future project and Internal reporting work
Mikey – Platform monitoring
Neil – Documentation and customer tickets
Simon – Working on problems
Ricky1 – Working customer web traffic calculation problems, decommissioning servers and improving documentation
Ricky2 – Fixing rewrite rules and testing/documenting brightview services ready for hand over
Rizwan – Working on webstats and radius time out problems
Sarah – Working on problems and tasks
Russ – Working on problems
Matt from Comms brings us this update:
Well… first day back after a long weekend in London. It was ace, apart from London Transport helpfully closing the section of the jubilee line between Tower Bridge and North Greenwich for the weekend (but on the other hand that did mean that we got to travel back there by ferry, which in turn meant that I got to drink champagne on a cruise down the Thames – silver lining, eh? Who’d credit it?)
So, back to work and straight in with the problem fixes and diagnostics and also some forummage for me, along with an interesting number of tickets – I think about 1800-odd…
Chris has been sorting Networks change controls and doing a lot of writing – mostly service status posts and customer emails.
Mand has spent the day divided between meetings, Home Phone and Problems.
James is still absent from the comms desk but is definitely in the building, we can safely assume that sales calls have taken up a large part of his day.
Bob is still abroad, steeping himself in alcoholic beverages and sunshine. Maybe his head will burn and peel so we can all make fun of him when he gets back… I wonder if I can have a huge picture of Michael Bublé embossed on his desk?
As is rapidly becoming a tradition, here is a link to something that made me go ‘awwwww’ lots. Enjoy. They repeat too often, unfortunately – you might like to try this as an amusing (but still cute) alternative.
The Web Team have been busy with me investigating the problems with the Community Site, and looking at ways of mitigating it (ironically, doing that before it actually started having problems!) while James has been writing an internal tool and Rupert has been doing some planning for a project he’s going to be working on. We’ve also been eating some of the sweets that I brought back from Scotland.
That’s all for now,
Colin
