Last end of day of the week and we have several key individuals mssing from the office. They’ve all be selected to head down to London and have dinner at the BT Tower as a reward for the special effort they’ve been putting in. So, what have the rest of us been up to?

First up, the weekly update from Barbara in HR

The week has flown by, and we have spent considerable time within the world of Ciphr(ed: Our HR management tool) – our main contact paid a visit, and we pinned down and sorted the main IT glitches that stopped the new Ciphr being put into place.
The final deadline for Performance Reviews is TODAY, so we’ve been chasing to get the remaining ones in.
Diane and Gemma have started their absence management meetings with managers.
Finally Amanda is on holiday today, Diane is working from home, and Jen is making her way to the BT Tower event as we speak…

Simon tells us bad news, good news, bad news and then good news again from Dev.

Another year has gone by and today the garage took another large amount money off me for the usual MOT, service and repairs, bad times. In-life support for Brightview is continuing to progress well, while the other project that I’m working on went into gamma testing today, good times Lastly, it’s Arek’s final day at the Sheffield Towers. Fortunately he’s not leaving us for good, just returning home to Poland where he’ll continue working for Plusnet with our other colleagues in Power Media. Have a safe journey home matey!

Next up, Chris letting us know what has been happening in Marketing

Team Marketing have been beavering away on a variety of tasks today – Martyn was preparing for Monday’s PlusNet Usergroup visit about the PlusNet brand this morning before squirreling off to London town for dinner in BT Tower. Amy has been rabbiting on all day whilst working on some emails and even more spreadsheets. I’ve been working on some PR in preparation for some exiting news next week and badgering Phil to bring in more mini-donuts. I also published the latest PlusNet in the News blog I’m weaseling my way out of work on Monday as I’m off to Dublin tomorrow! Have a good weekend.
