Time for a bit of an update!

So far, we’ve manage to raise £842.46 through our various ventures such as our Bake-Off, Play Your Cards Right, Pool Competitions, Pay for Your Lunch, Auctioning an Isle of Wight festival ticket and so on

But we’ve got until the end of July to keep raising money for this charity alongside a number of other local companies and we’ve got a couple of big fundraising events coming up very shortly!

Firstly, this Saturday Gemma and Jen are leading their teams around Sheffield in the great Tramathon. Now, perceptive readers may have twigged the use of both “thon” and “tram” which may suggest a marathon, on a tram.  Indeed it is!

The rules are simple. Visit every single tram stop in Sheffield with photographic evidence of doing so, whilst asking for people to sponsor you!  There’ll be two teams racing each other from one end of town to the other.  So, if you’re out and about in Sheffield this Saturday, keep an eye out for some of you crazy kids (George is rumoured to be wearing a clown outfit) and throw some pennies their way if you get a chance!

Secondly, George has been organising a black tie fundraising event with a James Bond theme.  It’s open to PlusNet Staff and local corporates and it’s going to be held on July 17th at the Royal Victoria Hotel,including a Martini Reception, Casino Tables, Live Entertainment and Prizes.  If you’re interested, feel free to put a comment at the bottom of this post and we’ll get in touch with you! Tickets will cost £25.

Of course, we’ll have plenty of pictures from both of the events.
