Had some problems with the Community site server this afternoon but fixed just in time to get this post out!
Finance: Today has been typically busy upstairs… James has been preparing for month end, Mark (Jacks) has been working on KPI’s and processing invoices and direct debits, Kate has been working on payroll, I (Alex) have been closing customer tickets and finally Mark (Bell) has been reviewing payroll in order to sign it off in time for payday. Also the sun is finally shining outside! Definitely a nice way to end a Monday afternoon.
Web Team: Colin has been upgrading the Community beta site to WordPress 2.5. James has been working on the customer-generated support content. Pete & Jonny have been prepping for the staff one to one’s to be held this week. Dan’s working on ACES and the projects team have been working on Brightview stuff. I (Tam) have been collecting examples of good and bad error messages in the PlusNet portal.
Networks: The platform has been a fairly quiet for a Monday and no serious problems over the weekend. Everyone has been quite busy and still coming to terms with Ian breaking his wrist in a freak thumb war accident. Looks like the wow available bandwidth is set to double over the coming weeks. Stuff people are working on at the moment:
Ade - Some load-balancing work, and ssl certificates work
Rizwan - Problems and prep work Gradwell migration.
Sarah - Housekeeping (monitoring) and problem cleanup after this weekends problems
Denis - Documentation on BV loadbalancer replacement and MPLS VPN to South Africa
Josh - fighting with iSCSI, planning for SLEDB rollout handove
Ben - Mail problem and monitoring enhancements
Planty - Worked on his tan
Simon - BV mailstorage issues and returning cgirelays to a full compliment
Mat - Customer tickets
Mikey - Problems
Mark - Grumpy smurf was doing documentation.
Russ - BGP/radius snmp monitoring and problems
Richard - fixing internal staging problems and checking up-coming proposed rollout changes
