I agree - it was an interesting enough evening but not quite worth the price tag in my opinion.

It was definitely interesting to see the distinct emphasis on guerilla UX work rather than lab work involving lots of science (and probably chin and/or beard stroking) - I actually found myself thinking that Andy Budd was talking a lot of sense, which is an odd sensation for me as I generally have a more cynical approach to the output of people who are often found on the conference circuit.

I'd agree too with the assertion that the headline topic wasn't really addressed, and that there were a lot of interesting issues left by the wayside. I was just in the process of framing a leading question myself when they called a halt to the panel - Sods Law in action :(

All in all I'd say it was possibly worth a tenner and an evening of my time, but I left feeling a little underwhelmed and overly light in the pocket given the slightly saltier price of admission - had I not got the early bird price I would have felt positively robbed. We shall have to wait and see whether future events are interesting enough on paper to tempt me to open my wallet (and my heart) to the Chinwag Live experience again.
