Mixed reviews are appearing from the brave souls who are installing the first Service Pack for Microsoft’s Vista operating system released on Tuesday. (Official Microsoft blog here). Some reports are suggesting that it’s creating more problems than it solves for a number of users. PC Pro has more details.
Just installed Vista SP1 here without any issues what so ever. It takes over an hour though!!
installed last week no problems at all same about an hour to install on a low spec laptop. 1 improvment i wanted was faster transfer over home network but this hasnt happend however browsing network locations has increased in responsivness which in my view is half way there to what i wanted.
no problems at all but i am only a basic home user of vista. tech people will soon tell us all how bad it is.
Installed it the other day, took about 35 minutes to install, and its actually improved things, increased stability, compatability and overall much smoother and faster in all areas (booting, programs loading, network traffic, disk 2 disk copying) ![]()
