We loved the changes at first but we have had to turn off spam filtering due to too many false positives. We look forward to a white list facility and then we will turn everything on again. Hope this comes very soon.

As fletchni said above, email from mainstream organisations like Ticketmaster and Cambria Magazine are now being tagged as spam. At least they actually showed up, unlike some others that never saw the light of day. However what's crazy and infuriating is the grossly obvious spam that's *not* tagged. I hope it gets fixed very soon - at least the promised whitelisting is a start.

@terminal, the Webmail buttons were due to be updated at the end of last week however it would appear that this got delayed. The changes should be made on Monday or Tuesday all being well.

"Alternatively, if you use Webmail you can use the Spam and Not Spam buttons which cuts out most of the hard work for you."

except of course this is a complete waste of time because those buttons are still sending emails to the old spam reporting addresses (ie notspam@despamchecker.plus.com)

Either update the blog, or better still, update those buttons so that they do what they are supposed to do

Sorry guys... it's a good message, well written... blah blah... but the whole thing is just not good enough.

Today, I was stupidly forwarding false positives to the old address. I'm pissed off at false positives. Why? Because we just go round and round in circles.

You should NOT HAVE done this without the WHITELIST. I want a good antispam tool... (and it would appear this is the right direction), but I don't want, for example, an email travel confirmation from "Travelocity" marked as spam (I mean, this is not a small obscure company). Email, even if large mass-mailing, from large companies are still genuine mail. THey don't spam... we signed up for the newsletters.

WHITE LIST

Please!

Thanks Be3G.

The portal content changes are in testing now so should be getting updated shortly. Hopefully it won't cause too much confusion in the interim!

That was a very well-written post - I liked the quotes and images to back up what you were saying. The only problem is, the portal isn't as up-to-date as it should be, so, for example, the 'Help & Support article' referenced with regards to forwarding attachments is, in fact, of no help whatsoever because it still stalks about the old DSPAM reporting process.
