Home security via broadband

Another example of the sort of innovative application Broadband can and will be used for in the home of the future comes in the news that BT will be offering a home security product. The system uses Broadband instead of more expensive monitoring solutions and is the sort of critical service that makes reliable quality broadband connectivity so important.

BT and Intamac have announced the completion of a pilot project providing home security solutions through the broadband network. With ever increasing broadband penetration, households are taking advantage of their Internet connection to help secure their homes.
