It’s Monday (unfortunately) and we’re back working hard. Some of us have relocated to a different office and we’ve been working hard, adjusting to our new surroundings and trying to remember not to go down stairs after lunch.
We’ll start with the CSC for today’s departmental updates with Brad
“Today in the CSC we are back with Monday morning and the madness that it brings! We are still getting ready for Halloween on Wednesday but apart from that are welcoming in some new Customer Service agents. We are also concentrating on testing Faults and chasing for updates, dealing with Cancellation requests and Provisioning orders.
The Top 5 reasons for calling our Centre today have been:
New Faults 15%: Mainly no sync but no real pattern identified
Provisioning Updates 10%: Customers calling to check when their account would be active plus updates on house moves
Fault Updates 10%: SMS prompted and customers without sms/email just checking back
Router Config 5%: New and existing customers with different routers
Billing Queries 5%: Due to failed billing or just due to seeing how much they spend each month.
Other 55%”
Next is James from Comms who appears to have swallowed his dictionary:
“Welcome to James’ Comms Update, with a unique twist to anyone who manages to spot it
We start another week, nearing the terminus of the month. This also means that we shall be impecunious no more. Oh yes!
Following on from the company theme over the last month of so, Matt is happy to announce that he is no longer feeling valetudinarian and has made a fine recovery to top form. He’s also been working on some bloggage and forums as well as sending out an email this afternoon.
Chris has been working on his “Get Bob to make Tea” campaign, by making his tea in the smallest cup he could find in the building. He’s also been dealing with some tickets and joining in with the forum community as well as helping our Marketing Team with some account related queries.
Mand has been spending most of her time helping out with some training as well as doing some more project work and dealing with some especially time consuming home phone tickets.
We haven’t seen much of Bob today, apart from for him to come and collect his tea because he’s been camped up with Networks again. He tells me he’s been working on the Critical Path Comms as well as looking at our VoIP platform in depth.
Whilst I have been camped out in the forums as per usual and clearing a number of my own personal tickets and clearing up some task work. I’ve also been doing some further project work and helping out Marketing with some DSL quality related queries.”
Darren is back with the Products daily update:
“It’s been a very active Monday, not only have the Products team moved floor (We are now sharing a floor with Marketing/Finance/Web Team), but two of our team are also on holiday.
Today I have been doing my Monday reports, though as I had no network connection this morning it took a little longer than expected. I have also had a chance to catch-up on my fraud reports. I have also chased up some hardware issues. All this and I am valetudinarian too according to James.
Shaun’s continued work on Churn analysis, ticket cause reporting for various departments and EOW reporting.
Today Rich made his first ever post on the community forum – future focus to be placed on commenting and feedback in the ideas forum. Rich has also liaised with suppliers and kicked off geographic number mini-project.”
And finally, we have another James (this time from Finance) who rounds up today’s End of Day:
“The start of another week in finance and there are plenty of activities to report on.
Mike and Magda have almost completed their work on the strat plan after a solid few weeks on it, so well done to them.
Kate has been working on payroll and I have been getting ready for month end, which is only two days away! Mark, Nick and Jen have been working through tickets closing 147 today.
To end today a joke …. Why was the pie waiting on the street corner …….. because he was meat’n'potato!”
