BusinessWeek recently announced the winners of the International Design Excellence Awards. There’s some great stuff in there. Here’s my top 5 pick:

Revolutionized Wrench – a spanner with a twisted handle to be easier on your hands.

MoGo Mouse BT – a wireless Bluetooth mouse that folds flat and fits into a PC card slot for easy storage. It looks kinda awkward but if it feels comfortable to use then it’s certainly a very neat product.

Cascuz – a geodesic cycle helmet. I was just having a conversation the other day wondering why all cycle helmets look stupid. This one at least looks kind interesting and possibly even… cool? The head-mounted lights are a feature I’m surprised isn’t more widely adopted.

Sync washing system – soapless hand washer & dryer in one unit.

Enermax Packaging – this is by far my favourite. In fact this is so cool that if I saw these batteries in a shop I’d buy them just for the packaging!
