The following 2 statistics really made me think about the future of the Internet this morning.
Statistic One
62,700,000 personal computers where shipped in the first 3 months of 2007. This is an 8.9% increase on the previous year. HP sold 11,000,000 whereas Dell sold 8,700,000 of these machines.

Amazing numbers! I’ve not purchased a new PC in other 3 years – instead upgrading various components as and when I require them – so who is buying all of these computers?
Statistic Two
Online sales are predicted to grow from its current market size of £42bn to £78bn by 2010.

I’ll pull out some more interesting facts and figures over the next couple of weeks and write an article on trends and where they are leading.
regards
Dean
