What does 'beta' mean?

April 5th, 2007 at 15:56 by Kelly Dorset

This site is in beta. That means there it’s likely that there are bugs, holes, broken bits and annoyances that any piece of unfinished software normally has.

We’ve deliberately put it out live to everyone so you can help us find those problems, tell us what is annoying or what would be nice to implement. Please use the forums to do this and we’ll try our best to fix it.

While this is in beta, it will not be supported 24×7 like other PlusNet services. Support will be done through the forums on here, and not over the phone. Also, if it goes down out of working hours, it won’t be likely to return until the next working day. Hopefully this will never happen, but remember, we are in beta! ;)

Have fun!

Kelly
