Email Problems

September 1st, 2006 at 09:51 by admin

Last night, our Network Team took the opportunity to prevent anyone from receiving email, in order to get our MXCore Servers (Boxes that process email) to hammer through all of the outstanding email. This also meant that from midnight till 4am, noone was able to collect their email. Seems to have had a decent effect, and Bob’s been updating Service Status.

The problem itself seems to have been caused by one poor user who seems to have been spammed to the order of ~150,000 emails. Poor him.
